Konfliktstoff participates with a lecture about: East-German socialist fabrics in contemporary textile art

With the Socialist Era not only whole textile industries but also unique textile designs and forms of textile propaganda disappeared. The art label Konfliktstoff by Jan Bejšovec collects representative items and fabrics but also incorporates them into art. The artist will present a selection of historical East-German propaganda scarfs and his artworks. The combination of old but authentic fabrics with contemporary textile art will be explained by an analysis of his pictures.

Konfliktstoff: Vzhodnonemške socialisticne tkanine v sodobni tekstilni umetnosti

S socialisticno dobo so izginile ne samo celotne tekstilne industrije, temvec tudi unikatni tekstilni modeli in oblike tekstilne propagande. Umetniška znamka Konfliktstoff Jana Bejšovca zbira reprezentativne predmete in tkanine ter jih tudi vkljucuje v umetnost. Umetnik bo predstavil izbor zgodovinskih vzhodnonemških propagandnih rut in svojih umetniških del. Kombinacijo starih, a pristnih tkanin s sodobno umetnostjo tekstila bo razložil z analizo svojih slik.
